This early Jacobean manor house was begun by Richard Nelthorpe of Glandford Brigg (1569—1640) in 1605 and has been lived in by members of the Nelthorpe family ever since.

Please note that the Hall's gardens are now only open on the days the house is open between 1.30pm and 5pm, though our garden shop is open most weekdays 9am-4pm. If you are travelling far or have any other questions, contact us first.

Scawby Hall is part of the Historic Houses Association (www.hha.org.uk)

The house features an exhibit focusing on the First World War as part of the Centenary commemoration.
